Hot Stone Therapy

A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy. It’s used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body.

During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. The stones may be placed:

along your spine
on your stomach
on your chest
on your face
on your palms
on your feet and toes

Massage therapists may hold heated stones as they massage your body using Swedish massage techniques such as:

long strokes
circular movements
vibration
tapping
kneading

Aroma Therapy

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote healing and a feeling of well-being and relaxation in the recipient. The essential oils are extracted from the parts of herbs and plants and contain all the properties of the plants themselves. There are several ways of applying the oils, including adding the oils to your bath, or inhaling them, but the most popular and effective is through massage.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most traditional form of Western massage. Swedish massage, or classic massage as it called in some countries, is a relatively gentle massage form focused on the body’s superficial layers. It is provided to promote general relaxation and well-being and sometimes for relief for symptoms associated with health conditions. Swedish massage is known to promote circulation. Among the areas of research: the potential of massage to improve blood pressure and other vital signs. 

Foot Massage

Foot massage has been around for hundreds of years, and spans many cultures. It’s frequently been used to improve health and relax the body. These days, most forms of foot massage borrow elements from a variety of disciplines, such as shiatsu and reflexology. These traditions operate on the belief that applying pressure to the more than 7,000 nerves in the foot can release energetic blockages in the rest of the body. Foot massage and reflexology can be used as pain relief, to help alleviate stress and even to speed up injury recovery.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture the use of very thin Sterilized stainless steel needles on specific points along the Acupuncture channels. These channels run throughout the body, if there are any blockages in the flow of Qi and blood, disease and or pain often occurs. Acupuncture helps eliminate blockages and restore balance to the normal flow of “Chi”. Keeping this balance helps prevent the new diseases. The needles are arranged in order to stimulate the body’s own ability to heal itself.
